Community Ministries

Our parish has been blessed with many gifted people. The ministries of the parish are the embodiments of our members’ gifts. Individually and collectively, they offer living proof that the Spirit remains active in our midst and they offer concrete avenues whereby each of us can deepen our friendship in the Lord. Although the specific focus of each ministry may vary, the primary purpose is always the same: to enhance the spiritual life of our community by means of prayer, study and service.  The work of this commission is supported and guided by Linda Gonzalez. 847-623-2655

Bible Study

Sacred Scripture is the constant reference point for our journey as Christians. By studying the different books of the Bible, we learn to read and interpret the meaning of this text for our lives today.

Altar and Rosary Society

This group meets on a routine basis to reflect on the quality of our liturgical life and to raise money to help with the upkeep of the altar and the sacristy.

The Ark

This group is comprised of teenagers (ages 13-17) that meet every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm. Together, they learn to grow in their faith and become active members of the parish and     society.

Seniors

The Senior Citizens of our parish gather on a regular basis to share their faith, to support one another and to enjoy a potluck while they engage in an afternoon of bingo.

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration provides a moment of peaceful prayer in the midst of our hurried lives and affords the opportunity to deepen our appreciation of the Eucharist in which we celebrate the central mystery of our faith.

Black Catholics of Lake County

This group meets the third Saturday of the Month at Holy Family site.  Altruistic organization; they raise money for scholarships, and elder care.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus have a long tradition in Catholic parishes, particularly in this part of the

diocese. The Knights support the pastoral needs of the parish in a host of ways.
